ENJOY IT!

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.”Hebrews 2:9-10. Hey pause your thought right there! Change that tape playing in your mind right now! It’s not what you think; this is what it is- am aware that there are times when it seems like God doesn’t make sense; I know also there also are times you find it very difficult to draw the curtain on whether God loves you or not; yea I know! But the truth about the matter is this- HE WAS IN YOUR SHOES WHEN HE WAS HERE! Yea JESUS was in those same situations you’re passing through.
The text above, like many other texts in the bible, explains a lot of things about Christianity as a lifestyle. Funny enough, many Christians have turned their back at it- the truth stings you know- and have embraced selfishness in the name of success. Am not saying that success Is not sweet at all after all, nobody denies the sweetness of sugar; but am saying that before any success emerges, there must be a story of pain. Pain is a game everyone has to play in one way or the other. Christ played it, Moses played it, Abraham played it, David played it, c’mon you can help me name them all; the list is long and unending so don’t just endure your pains but friend, enjoy it also. You see, when you just endure your pains only, chances are that you might end up murmuring against God and you know the consequence- you can ask Miriam, Moses’ sister- but when you enjoy it with the hope that you will come out of it someday, a glory comes afterward. “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2. Friend if you have read to this point, you can just pause and read that text again; read these also: 1 John 3:1-2; Romans 8:23.
You’re not just meant to endure your pains only, get to enjoy them also. See the pain as bricks; use them to build a wall around yourself for your glory tomorrow. I have done this friend, it works like fire. You can do it, it’s going to be so for you- your reward is going to come big! C’mon make that choice now to start enjoying your pains not just enduring them. Enduring them gives birth to complaints and murmur but enjoying them gives birth to the quest and search for solutions in Christ Jesus. I want to end here by this anonymous quote “today’s reward is product of yesterday’s choice.” Make your choice now, ENJOY!
